HeyWhatsThat WISP
Sample Customer Portal
This page is the starting point for your own
customer-facing site. It demonstrates the functionality we offer: it prompts a potential customer
to locate their home
by clicking on the map, searching for an address,
or, if running on a smartphone, using their phone's GPS. The customer then queries our servers
to check for service availability, and is prompted to provide contact info for follow-up.
This sample uses the same towers as the WISP demo.
The are many design possibilities beyond what's shown on this page:
- The look and feel and user interface should match the rest of your site.
For example, the actions (update GPS, check for service, ...) can be buttons
rather than underlined links, and can lie beside the map rather than inside it.
- The coverage overlay is optional. Here we show a rough circle, but you could also show your detailed coverage map.
- The sign-up pages could connect directly to your CRM system, or could gather the contact info you need and email it to you.
- The service computation generally takes less than a second. In this sample, a 3 second delay has been added to make it difficult for someone to click all over the map and reverse engineer your coverage.
